About Us
PharoahsGems is a small cattery located in the Chicago Illinois
area. We breed and raise Siamese and Colorpoint Shorthair of
exceptional health and temperment. Our cats are raised underfoot
in our home and loved and cherished as our own family members.
It has been my heart's desire since my childhood to have Siamese.
As a teenager, I wandered CFA shows in our area and longed for
one of the gorgeous Siamese I saw. Breeding and showing is a
dream come true for me. It's an honor to share my home with my cats.
I'd like to thank Bob Molino and Bernie Hartman of Sanlino
Siamese and Colorpoint Shorthair for our foundations to our
Colorpoint program.
I'd also like to thank Ruth Taylor of Gimsin Siamese for all the
gorgeous Siamese she has placed with us to help us create such a
solid foundation for our Siamese program. Her cats have the most
exceptional health, temperment and type. She has also mentored
and guided us unselfishly. She has a true desire to protect,
preserve and contribute to the Siamese breed.
My cattery name is not a reflection of the origin of the breed.
Siamese are known to originate in Thailand. It is the oldest
registered breed of cats. My cattery name reflects my love for
Ancient Egypt and their reverence for the cat.
In Ancient Egypt, it was punishable by death to harm or kill a cat.
